So tomorrow is the big day. Christmas Day for music lovers. National Record Store Day is here and there are a bunch of cool items that will be available at your local indie record shop and a bunch of events happening around those shops too.

Electric Piquete Debuts New “Little Conga Boy” Holiday Music Video

Electric Piquete released “Little Conga Boy”, a holiday single, which is available free for download and now we are proud to present the debut of the “Little Conga Boy” official music video. The video features performance footage of the song live at the Hollywood Beach Theatre on December 5th as well as footage shot during the studio recording at City of Progress Studio in North Miami on December 9th. The track was recorded and mixed by Andrew Yeomanson (aka DJ Le Spam).

We’re looking forward to hearing more new Latin-infused jazz/funk/rock from Electric Piquete. Bassist Michael Mut said there’s “Lots!” in store for EP in the new year… “new full-length recording produced by Andrew Yeomanson, a new video, new website, merch and [a new management deal] with Angel Zamora for Inimitable Entertainment. ’13: the year of EP!”

The line-up currently includes Ed Rosado (drums), Michael Mut (bass), Chris Correoso (guitar), Ozzy Reyes (tenor sax), Rich Dixon (trumpet/flugelhorn), Emilio Turros (percussion), Daniel Jimenez (keys), Raymond Ayala (percussion) and their very own “Little Conga Boy” 12 year old Steven Ayala on percussion and quinto solo.

121212 Hurricane Sandy Relief Concert Tonight; Watch Paul w/Nirvana on TV, Web Or Theaters

In case you haven’t heard by now, tonight’s Concert For Sandy Relief is a big deal. The event will be held at Madison Square Garden in New York and features some really big names including Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton, The Rolling Stones, Roger Waters and The Who. If that’s not enough for you, Sir Paul McCartney is also apparently performing with Dave Grohl and Kurt Novoselic. The former Beatle says he “didn’t really know who they were” when he was in the studio with them and somebody had to whisper to him that “That’s Nirvana. You’re Kurt.”

Really, Paul? You don’t know who Dave Grohl is? You better not know who Adam Levine is then either.

We also hear that Eddie Vedder will perform with Roger Waters. Don’t know about you, but we’ve heard enough to know we’ll be glued to the tele. Also performing tonight are Billy Joel, Bon Jovi, Alicia Keys, Chris Martin, and even Kanye West.

Catch former South Florida based drummer Fernando Sanchez perform with Warner Bros recording artist LP on Late Show with David Letterman tonight (Wednesday October 3rd) on CBS at 11:35pm EDT.

Phish New Year ‘s Eve Confirmed For Madison Square Garden in NYC

Phish returns to Madison Square Garden in New York City for their New Year’s Even run – 4 nights – December 28-31, 2012. The big news this time is that all floor tickets will be general admission. The floor will be split up into GA front and GA rear.
An online ticket request period is currently underway at tickets.phish.com/ and will end Monday, October 15 at Noon EST.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning Saturday, October 20, at Noon ET at ticketmaster.com or can be charged by phone at 866.858.0008. If tickets are still available, they may be purchased at the venue box office beginning Monday, October 22. Box office hours are Monday-Saturday, 9 AM – 6 PM. Tickets may also be purchased at select TicketMaster outlets.

The Beatles Vinyl Coming November 13

The Beatles catalog will finally be available on 180 gram remastered vinyl this November 13.

These will all be stereo mixes and will be available individually and as a box set. We hear there will be a mono box set coming in 2013.
